Conor was diagnosed with leukemia a few days ago. For the next week we will be at UCSF getting chemo treatments. He should be able to come home after that and get the rest of his treatments there. He has ALL, which is the most common and most treatable kind of leukemia, so the outlook is really good. But these first few weeks are going to be hell. And, all of his beautiful hair is going to fall out.

I've picked up my guitar again, for the first time in four or five years. This week I am focusing on that, just like last week I focused on painting. My next couple submissions will probably be photography because of it, but playing guitar is what makes me happy right now, and next week I'll probably switch back to art and the like. I feel like if I'm not creating something, then I'm not worth anything. I'll just disappear into the crowd, into nothing, so I keep creating. I keep painting and playing and taking photographs in hopes that one day I will wake up and find myself. I feel like I can getting closer to that. Maybe tomorrow.

I took some cool pictures at this show I went to last Thursday, and one of them I painted in watercolor and submitted, but I'm going to post some of the actual pictures later on. Tonight I'm going to my friend's show in town, and then to a party later on, so I'm hoping to get some good shots of the band playing and people partying in general. I find myself looking for shots that I can turn into paintings easily, the one I did of Lewis playing the cello is a good example, and my recent self-portrait, but when I was taking pictures of them playing I found myself trying to get certain shots of his profile with the intention of turning it into a
